The World is Not Enough (1999)

Elektra King, played by Sophie Marceau

Bond tavels to Bilbao, Spain to collect money for a British oil king, Sir Robert King. The banker who has the money threatens Bond, but Bond prevails. The banker says that 0012 had the money, but was killed. Before he could reveal the assassin, he is killed by his secretary.

Back in London, Sir Robert King is happy that Bond retrieved his money. AS King walks toward his money, the money catches fire and explodes, killing King.

MI6 traces the money back to Renard, an ex-KGB agent that kidnapped King's daughter, Elektra. M assigns Bond to protect Elektra, without her knowledge.

Christmas Jones, played by Denise Richards

Bond travels to a nuclear testing site, posing as a nuclear physicist. There, he meets Dr. Christmas Jones, an American nuclear physicist. Renard is there, and steals a nuclear missile. He also removes the locator card in the missile so the warhead can't be trakced. Bond recovers the card, and flees the compound with Jones.

Bond flies back to Elektra's estate, and tells M that Elektra may not be so innocent. Just as he says that, an alarm goes off, alerting Elektra and the computer analysts that there is a bomb in her oil pipeline. Bond and Christmas rush to a maintenance entrance, and try to disarm the bomb. When they catch up to it, the bomb is missing half the plutonium. Bond decides to let it blow, and have Elektra believe they both died in the explosion.

Renard, played by Robert Carlyle

When Bond and Christmas "die", Elektra tells M that she had her father killed for using her in her kidnapping. She partnered with Renard, and together plan to use the other half of plutonium to destroy Istanbul.

Will Elektra succeed? Watch The World is Not Enough to find out!

This was the first Bond movie I saw when I was about five years old. Although I didn't know what was going on, I thought the action sequences were awesome. Sophie Marceau did an incredible job as Elektra. She played a quite convincing Elektra. Renard, played by Robert Carlyle, really showed what it means to be a terrorist. He seemed quite crazy. He kidnapped Elektra, but then they both fell in love and conspired to kill Elektra's father. The theme song, played by Garbage, was a good song. One line is, "If we can't have it all, then nobody will." I like this quote, as it inspires me to know that nobody has everything.

Licence to Kill (1989)

Lupe Lamora, played by Tolisa Soto
Bond and his best pal, DEA agent Felix Leiter, are on their way to Felix's wedding in the Bahamas when DEA agents in a helicopter inform Leiter that Franz Sanchez, a major druglord in South America, is close by. Leiter and Bond get in the helicopter and go to the airstrip Sanchez is at. Bond briefly meets Sanchez's girlfriend, Lupe Lamora. After a huge chase, Sanchez is captured and Bond and Leiter go to the wedding.

Just as Bond is about to board his plane back to London, he sees on the news that Sanchez has escaped custody. 007 rushes to the house and finds Felix's wife dead and Felix barely alive. Bond immediately suspects Sanchez and goes rogue to find and kill him.

Franz Sanchez, played by Robert Davi
Bond meets up with one of Felix's contacts, Pam Bouvier, at a local bar. Sanchez's men attack both of them, and they escape on a boat. They develop a plan to take down Sanchez's whole drug operation in Isthmus City.

In Isthmus City, Bond goes undercover, posing as an assassin-for-hire. Sanchez recruits him, and eventually allows Bond his utmost trust.

Will Bond bring revenge upon Sanchez? Find out in Licence to Kill!

Pam Bouvier, played by Carey Lowell
I really liked Licence to Kill. I'm a real big fan of the 80s, especially the movies. Sanchez reminds me of Tony Montana from Scarface. The movie shows Bond's weak side, which is his loyalty to his friends. He risked his job going after Sanchez.  That takes a lot of guts to do something like that. The acting is also very good. Bond is split between which girl he wants, Lupe or Pam. Also, Wayne Newton takes on a small part. I would recommend this movie.

A View to a Kill (1985)

Max Zorin, played by Christopher Walken
James Bond is sent to Siberia to recover a microchip a fellow agent had retrieved. Bond finds the body of the agent, and the microchip is hidden in a necklace. Bond is then chased through the snowy mountains. He escapes, and returns to London.

Q examines the microchip, and discovers it is an exact copy of microchips created by Zorin Industries. Bond travels to a horse track and observes the company's owner, Max Zorin. Bond meets  an MI6 ally, Sir Godfrey Tibbett, who is a horse trainer. Zorin's horse wins, but seems very excited and hard to calm down. Tibbett tells Bond he believes that Zorin is using drugs on his horse, although nothing shows up on the pre-race drug tests.
Sir Godfrey Tibbett, played by Patrick Macnee

Bond then travels to Zorin's French estate, where Zorin is holding his annual horse sale. Tibbett also tags along, and both discover that Zorin is using remote-controlled, drug-releasing microchips that guarnatees Zorin's horse to won everytime. Zorin bodyguard, May Day, realizes the two agents discovered Zorin's secret, and assassinates Tibbett. Bond manages to escape, and goes to San Francisco.

In San Francisco, Bond tracks down a geologist, Stacey Sutton, who was at Zorin's estate in France. The two discover that Zorin is planning to flood Silicon Valley, giving Zorin a huge monopoly in the microchip market.
Stacey Sutton, played by Tanya Roberts

Will Zorin's plan work? Watch the movie to find out!

A View to a Kill may have been the worst Bond movie ever, and definitely in the worst five. The main problem is Roger Moore, who plays Bond. At the time, Moore was 57 years old. He just didn't have the Bond attractiveness anymore. He looked like a retiree. Another thing was one scene where Zorin and his assistant annhilate miners in the mines. It was a no mercy slaughter, and to me, that isn't James Bond material. The one thing I do like is the theme song of the movie, played by Duran Duran.

For Your Eyes Only (1981)

Melina Havelock, played by Carole Bouquet
A naval ship has been sunk by a naval mine. A communicating device that controls balistic missles, was on that ship. MI6 makes it their top priority to recover the communicator before someone else steals it. Bond is sent to investigate the sinking and recover the ATAC.

MI6 hired a marine biologist, Sir Timothy Havelock, to locate the ship. On his private yacht, Havelock is killed by a Cuban assassin, Hector Gonzalez. Bond travels to Spain to locate the hitman.

While at Gonzalez's private villa, Bond is captured by guards. He manges to escape after Gonzalez is hot by an arrow by an unknown assassin. Bond discovers that the daughter of Havelock, Melina, traveled to Spain and killed Gonzalez. The two escape Spain, and travel back to London.
Miles Columbo, played by Chaim Topol

At MI6 headquarters, Bond identifies a man that he saw at the villa as Emile Loque. He travels to Italy where Loque is stationed.

Bond meets a man named Kristatos, who informs him that Loque works for Miles Columbo, a drug dealer. At Columbo's restaruant, Kristatos and Bond discuss what Bond has to do with Columbo. Unbeknownst to them, Columbo is recording their conversation.

Bond leaves with a woman and goes to her house. He spends the night, and in the morning he is captured by Columbo's men. When Bond meets Columbo, face to face, Bond learns that Kristatos is the real enemy, and was trying to eliminate his competition by using Bond as his personal hitman.

Eventually, Kristatos aquires the ATAC, and he plans to sell it to the KGB. Will Bond be able to stop Kristatos? Watch For Your Eyes Only to find out!
Aris Kristatos, played by Julian Glover

I really enjoyed watching this movie. Columbo was really funny when he met Bond personally for the first time. "By having a British secret agent doingn his dirty work for him, they [British governement] might just give him [Kristatos] another medal!" Towards the end of the movie, Bond has to climb a cliff, and at times he almost slipped off. Roger Moore actually did this stunt, which was really cool.

Moonraker (1979)

Hugo Drax, played by Michael Lonsdale
A space shuttle, manufactured by Drax Industries, has been stolen, and Bond is called to investigate.

Bond travels to Drax Industries and meets the owner, Hugo Drax, and Dr. Holly Goodhead. Dr. Goodhead is an astronaut, and shows Bond around the complex. Soon they enter the centrifuge chamber. This measures how much G-force experienced when shot off into space. Bond decides to try it.

As soon as Dr. Goodhead closes the door, Drax's assassin says the Drax wants to speak with Dr. Goodhead. She leaves, and the assassin operates the centrifuge. Just as it hits 13 G's, and Bond is about to pass out, he disables the machine with a dart gun attached to his wrist.

Bond travels to Venice, where Drax has been making glass structures that hold a nerve gas. Bond discovers that Drax plans to ship these containers of nerve gas to space with him. In space, Drax will send them out to a certain part of the Earth, killing every single human being and creating a master race with his selected "Adams  and Eves".
James Bond (Roger Moore) in the Centrifuge chamber

Will Bond stop Drax from creating his"master race"? Watch Moonraker to find out!

Moonraker was not even thought of until the success of Star Wars. For Your Eyes Only was supposed to follow The Spy Who Loved Me. I really enjoyed this movie. The centrifuge chamber is really cool. Roger Moore did an excellent job showing how the g-force was affecting him, even though he didn't actually experience it.   Jaws also returns in Moonraker, and he remains one of my favorite characters in the 007 series. Watching him cut a steel cable with his teeth was incredible.

The Spy Who Loved Me (1977)

Anya Amasova, played by Barbara Bach
A British missile submarine, along with a Russian submarine, suddenly disappear. 007 is assigned to investigate the disappearance.

Bond discovers that a microfilm containing information on a complex submarine tracking device is for sale in Egypt. There, he meets Major Anya Amasova, who works for the KGB. The two team up since their commanders have created a temporary to truce to recover their submarines.

AS they journey across Egypt, Bond and Amasova meets Jaws, an assassin hired to kill anyone that comes into contact with the microfilm. They escape, and soon learn that Karl Stromberg, an anarchist, is behind the theft of the micro film.

Bond and Amasova travel to Sardinia where Stromberg's base is located. Bond sets up an interview with Stromberg, disguising himself as a deep-water fish researcher. Stromberg finds out Bonds real identity after the interview, and orders Jaws to kill them. Bond and Amasova escape Jaws yet again.
Jaws, played by Richard Kiel

Bond and Jaws
The U.S. Navy becomes involved, and Bond and Amasova team up with a crew on a U.S. submarine to research Stromberg's base known as Atlantis. The submarine is caught by Stormberg's over-sized ship named the Liparus. As the crew, Bond, and Amasova are captured, Stromberg reveals that he is going to use the missiles from the other two ships to destroy Moscow and New York City. This would start a nuclear war between the Soviets and the United States.

Will Bond escape and save the world from a nuclear war? Watch The Spy Who Loved Me to find out!

I  liked this Bond movie. In one scene, Bond drives his car directly into the sea, and it converts into a submarine. Jaws does not say one word in the movie; he just uses facial expressions. His mouth full of metal, razor sharp teeth is really cool.

The Man with the Golden Gun (1974)

MI6 receives a golden bullet with "007" inscribed on it. M believes the bullet is a message from an assassin, Francisco Scaramanga. Worried that Bond is endangered, M relieves Bond of his current mission on investigating Gibson, a scientist thought to have developed a tool that could end the energy crisis.

Francisco Scaramanga, played by Christopher Lee
Naturally, bond sets out to find Scaramanga. His first stop is in Beirut, where he recovers one of Scaramanga's bullets from a belly dancer, who claims it's "her lucky charm."

Q Branch examines the bullet and discovers that the creaor of the bullet is Lazar, a gunsmith in Macau. After interrogating Lazar, Bond tails the collector of the bullets. He later questions her, and discovers that she is Scaramanga's mistress. She describes Scaramanga, and reveals the location of his next hit. It is at the Bottoms Up Club.

When Bond arrives, he is shocked to find Scaramanga's target. It is Gibson, the scientist 007 was investigating. Gibson is killed, and a henchman of Scaramanga steals the tool Gibson developed named a solex agitator. Bond is blamed for the murder, but an ally, Lieutenant Hip to MI6 takes him out of police custody.

M orders Hip and Bond to retrieve the solex agitator and kill Scaramanga.

James Bond, played by roger Moore
Will Bond succeed in his mission?

I personally liked this installment of the series. Scaramanga's gun is actually composed of four parts, a lighter, cigarette case, pen, and cufflinks. In other words, Scaramanga always has his gun on him. Scaramanga believes his only real challenge was Bond.

Diamonds Are Forever (1971)

Mr. Wint and Mr. Kidd, played by Bruce Glover and Putter smith
Assassins Mr. Wint and Mr. Kidd are on the run, killing anyone who comes into contact with a certain set of diamonds. Bond's boss M thinks the diamonds are part of a smuggling operation, and orders 007 to investigate.

Bond impersonates Peter Franks, a smuggler who is supposed to meet up with a contact named Tiffany Case. At Case's apartment, Bond and the real Peter Franks meet up. The two fight, and Bond subdues him. To avoid revealing his identity, Bond switches identifications with Franks. Tiffany and "Franks" (Bond) hide the smuggled diamonds in the real Franks' body, and smuggle them to L.A.

Tiffany Case, played by Jill St. John
Bond meets with Felix Leiter at the airport, and they switch the real diamonds with fakes ones. Bond and Tiffany are driven to a funeral home with Franks' body, and Franks is creamated. The diamonds come out intact, and the next smuggler in the chain, Shady Tree, takes them. Unfortunately, Mr. Wint and Mr. Kidd catch Bond and lock him in a casket. They send him into the oven to be cremated. Bond's luck is about to be burned in flames with the rest of him when Shady Tree turns the oven off and pulls Bond out. Tree realized the diamonds were fake, and wanted to know where the real ones were.

Bond and Tiffany go to Las Vegas where Leiter shipped the real diamonds, and follow the diamonds as they switch from one smuggler to another. Bond soon realizes that his arch-enemy Ernst Stavro Blofeld receives the diamonds and plans to build a satellite with them that could destroy the world's nuclear weapon supply.

Will Blofeld's plan work? Watch this movie to find out!

Ernst Stavro Blofeld, played by Charles Gray
Diamonds Are Forever wasn't my favorite Bond movie. To me, it was a boring plot. Smuggling diamonds isn't exactly a life-and-death situation, which most of the 007 movie plot's are all about. Having said that, it was a pretty good movie. Blofeld is quite sarcastic with Bond, and I'm a sarcastic guy sometimes. In one scene, Blofeld is dressed as a woman, which was kind of hilarious.

Goldfinger (1964)

Auric Goldfinger, played by Gert Frobe

James Bond is in Miami Beach when he meets Felix Leiter, who informs Bond that M (Bond's boss) wants him to observe Auric Goldfinger. Conveniently, Goldfinger is at the same hotel as Bond. 007 sneaks into Goldfinger's room, when he sees a woman named Jill Masterson on the balcony. She is helping Goldfinger cheat at a game of rummy by looking at his opponent's cards through binoculars and telling her boss through a radio. Bond cuts the radio, making Goldfinger lose the game. Bond decides to stay awhile, which turns out bad for Masterson. Late in the night, Goldfinger's silent assassin Oddjob knocks Bond out and kills Jill.

007 wants to meet Goldfinger personally this time, and sets up a golf game. Bond wins, and again Goldfinger is mad. He cuts Bond a check, and leaves for Switzerland. What he doesn't know when he leaves is that Bond is following him.

Oddjob, played by Harold Sakata
At his facory, Goldfinger and a Chinese man, Mr. Ling, are speaking about a project named Operation Gland Slam. Bond sneaks in and overhears the converstion, but is later captured. Goldfinger decides to let 007 live, thinking that he will trick MI6 into believeing that Bond has everything under control.

Goldfinger leaves for Kentucky, and has Bond flown in after him. Even though 007 is locked in a jail cell on Goldfinger's farm, he still manages to escape and listen in on the details of Operation Grand Slam. Goldfinger plans to break into Fort Knox, and set off a nuclear bomb, making the gold radioactive. In other words, the gold of Fort Know would become worthless, and Goldfinger's stock would increase ten times.

Will Operation Gland Slam be successful? Watch Goldfinger to find out!

According to many Bond fans around the world, Goldfinger has the most famous quote of the whole series. When Bond is captured at Goldfinger's factory, and he's about to die, he asks, "Do you expect me to talk?" Goldfinger replies, "No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die!" I like Oddjob, with his razor sharp hat. If anyone has seen Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, Random Task is a knock-off of Oddjob. One interesting trivia fact is that Gert Frobe, who played Goldfinger, was German and spoke little English. This caused problems when the production of Goldfinger was taking place, so the producers decided to dub his voice.

From Russia With Love (1963)

Rosa Klebb, played by Lotte Lenya
The organization SPECTRE (Special Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge, and Extortion) has created a plan to steal a decoding device called a Lektor from the Soviets. The head of SPECTRE, deemed Number 1, appoints Rosa Klebb (Number 3) as head of the operation.

Klebb develops an expert plan to have Bond unknowingly retrieve the Lektor. She hires an ex-KGB assassin, Red Grant, and tricks a Soviet  consulate clerk, Tatiana Romanova, to help Bond. She orders Grant to follow Bond and protect him as Bond makes his way to get the Lektor. While on the Orient Express, Grant is to impersonate a fellow MI6 agent, kill Bond and Romanova, and deliver the Lektor to Klebb.

Tatiana Romanova, played by Daniela Bianchi
MI6 receives a message from Romanova, detailing that she will give Britain the Lektor, which Britain and the United States have been looking for in years, on one condition: Bond meets her to get the Lektor. Bond flies out to Istanbul, and there he meets Kerim Bey, an MI6 ally. Bond, Bey, and Romanova go on a chase to retrieve the Lektor, unknownst to them that they are being followed by Red Grant.

Will Grant complete his mission, or will Bond? Watch From Russia With Love to find out!

Red Grant, played by Robert Shaw
From Russia With Love is the second installment in the James Bond series. It features Sean Connery as James Bond. I personally enjoyed this movie a lot. The plot was great, and I especially like the humor Red Grant and Bond exchange during their meeting on the Orient Express. I also liked Rosa Klebb, who was played by Lotte Lenya The movie was adapted into a video game in 2005, whith Sean Connery as the voice of James Bond. I hope you guys have a better picture of what this movie is about!
